Green Certifications for Chain of Custody and Sustainable Practices
At Norkol we believe that responsible stewardship of our natural resources is vital to all of our futures. This belief has been a part of our corporate culture since we began operation in 1968. One very important aspect of our business enables us to recondition, convert, and restore damaged paper so it can once again be used for its original purpose. Since our founding, the ability to recondition damaged paper has prevented millions of tons from being sent into land fills.
Holding true to these values, we continue our commitment to responsible forest management by gaining Chain of Custody Certifications (Green Certifications) with the Forest Stewardship Council™, Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). These certifications allow us to form partnerships with other organizations that share the commitment to stewardship of our natural resources. We believe that these efforts will enable us to create a smaller environmental footprint and to continue to use our natural resources responsibly for generations to come.
