In March of 1968, Norbert and Mary Ellen Kolinski began Norkol, Inc., brokering prime paper goods for the printing industry. In November of the same year, Norb and M.E. purchased a single slitter/rewinder and moved the operation to a 12,000 square foot warehouse, establishing what is now Norkol Converting Corporation.
Since then, the company has grown into one of the nation’s largest independently owned converters and distributors of commercial printing papers. Only blocks from the location founded by Norb & M. E., our plant in Northlake, IL now spans over 400,000 square feet, with full production capabilities and state-of-the-art machinery for winding, trim and sheeting.
